The Secretariat
The Secretariat supports the work of the SRU as set out in the governing charter. The Secretariat manages the SRU's administrative affairs and assists in performing the duties assigned to it by the Federal Environment Ministry. In particular, this includes organisational and management assistance as well as research support. The SRU supervises the work of the Secretariat in relation to expert matters. The Federal Environmental Agency has legal and administrative oversight of the SRU, but respects its independence.
